Bergmann AG from Penig and Vita 34 AG from Leipzig together with a Chinese partner are going to apply for the installation and operation of 600 clarification plants in Ezhou (province of Wuhan).

During a trade mission of the Saxon State Minister of the Environment and Agriculture Thomas Schmidt, Dr. André Gerth, CEO of Vita 34 AG, signed a corresponding agreement concerning the future wastewater disposal of the 200,000 inhabitants of Ezhou.

“If this contract is concluded, it does not only demonstrate that environmental technology from Saxony is well-known all over the world”, says the Minister of Environment Schmidt. “It is also a success for trade missions like this. The commitment of state politicians opens the doors to decision makers for our entrepreneurs. I am glad about this deal.”

Vita 34 AG will be involved in preparatory works and the project management prior to the technical execution of the planned plants. Bergmann AG will supply the industrial process measurement and control technology as well as further technical equipment. After an introductory period, Chinese partners will operate the plants. The project runs over five years and its contract volume is about 90 million Euro.

Beijing SDL Technology Co., Ltd. (SDL), a publicly traded company specialized in environmental products and services for ten years, was found as the business partner in China. Dr. André Gerth has been negotiating with SDL for one year: “I am glad that, with a lot of commitment, we found SDL as our partner to master such a comprehensive project.” Lars Bergmann, chief financial and sales officer of Bergmann AG, adds, “Our day-today business is and remains in Middle Germany. As we are already doing business in North America and Scandinavia, the Chinese market will help us further to promote our company’s growth and thus secure jobs in Saxony.”
